Britt-Marie Alm is a textile designer & artist based in San Francisco, California
Britt’s work is based on a Tibetan weaving technique she learned
from nomads on the Plateau
Britt designs all of the materials that take part in her work. She uses a wide variety of hardwood species that are hand-shaped in San Francisco. And from Tibet and Nepal to New Zealand—she partners directly with small, family-owned fiber workshops to create her yarn.
Pieces are designed in close consultation with clients to reflect their ethos and vision for their space.
